48 & Forward · Mission
Who we are
Built for the part nobody plans for.
48 & Forward Foundation is a 501(c)(3) working on athlete transition and community impact, on the theory that both are the same problem seen from opposite ends.
Our mission
Fueling futures through support, wellness, and opportunity.
Sport gives people structure, identity, income, and a room full of people who need them. It can take all four back in an afternoon. An injury, a cut, a final season, and an athlete is standing in a life nobody prepared them for.
A few miles from almost any stadium, a child is facing the same shortage from the other direction. No meal, no mentor, no runway, and a future that was never funded in the first place.
48 & Forward exists in the space between those two. We teach athletes about money before it arrives, we pay for the mental health care they will not ask for, we restore scholarships that injury took away, and we feed and mentor kids in the neighborhoods our athletes came from. With every partnership, we are creating a future where resilience meets opportunity. There is always a way forward.
What we hold to
Say the number. If we claim impact, we publish the figure behind it and the date it was counted.
No selling in our rooms. Nobody gets access to an athlete through us in order to sell them something. Our financial education program sells nothing and our clinical network has no commercial ties to agents or firms.
Free at the point of need. Athletes and families never pay for our programs, and schools never pay to host them.
Built to be repeated. Every program is designed so another city, school, or chapter can run it without us in the room.
Transparency
48 & Forward Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
The bridge
One clock runs out. One never starts.
When the game ends
The exit nobody trains for
Wealth Beyond The Game, Mental Health & Wellness, and Forward Resources exist for the athlete standing at the end of a career they did not choose to end.
When the chance never comes
The start nobody funded
Fuel The Future and the Athletes With Heart Scholarship Fund exist for the student who never got the runway in the first place, or lost it to an injury.
Fund the bridge.
Every program we run is free to the people who use it. That only works if somebody else pays for it.
